Christmas Diptyque

For the end of the year, Diptyque celebrates this eye for beauty, which has been shaping the Maison's identity and personality for 60 years, and opens its treasure chest: scented and decorative creations with precious finishes.

Christmas 1961. The store Diptyque had recently opened its doors at 34, boulevard Saint Germain. For the holiday season, the founders decided to decorate the store windows with traditional Christmas lanterns. Passersby and journalists called in to buy them, but they were not for sale! A decision was made that changed the store's fortunes forever: in addition to fabrics, the trio would sell decorative and scented items chosen from around the world or made by them.

The keenness of an eye to detect beauty in everything, the ability to select objects and aromas that trigger visual and olfactory emotions.... The freedom to follow intuition to create a singular universe, without worrying about trends.... This curiosity is the greatest treasure of Diptyque.

The fluidity of a line, the veins of a semi-precious stone, the glittering reflections of a glass pearl.... So many sources of inspiration and astonishment.

The spirit of the origins materializes in simple, yet precious contemporary creations that can be found nowhere else, except in Diptyque.
