Diptyque Tam Dao Eau de Toilette The Eau de Toilette Tam Dao is an ode, in capital letters, to sandalwood. This perfume evokes Asia and the multiple aromas of its endless temples and forests. The velvety aroma of sandalwood transports us to the most hidden temples of Tam Dao where its logs were burned as an offering. In the Eau de Toilette Tam Dao, the Mysore sandalwood expresses sensuality, tenderness, and warmth. Alongside it, cedar presents its unparalleled dryness, cypress and myrtle -its olfactory accident- add freshness, and ambergris adds an exquisitely moving touch. Fragrance Inspiration Yves Coueslant, one of the three founders of Diptyque, grew up in Indochina during the era of the Far East colonies.The warmth of the jungle and the trembling of the earth by the steps of elephants are the memory of their summers in the mountains of Tam Dao. To obtain a higher quality East Indian sandalwood, extraction is performed from trees over 60 years old that produce a very, very peculiar essence.
