Founded over 150 years ago by William Sparks Thomson, one of the most important London corset makers of the time.
Thomson discovered that due to the tightness of his garments, ladies often fainted, which led him to create aromatic salts based on lavender to help revive his clients.
In 1872, he founded the Crown Perfumery, the year in which Queen Victoria, his most famous patron, granted the use of the image of her crown on his perfume bottles.
An image that continues to define every perfume bottle to this day. Queen Victoria's crown proudly stands as the stopper of each perfume.It is a lasting memory of a token of gratitude, celebrating a very special personal relationship with one of the greatest British monarchs.
