Orphéon is floral and woody, it brings a new facet to the woody collection.
The eau de parfum combines curls of tobacco smoke that blend with powdered trails of blush that linger on the polished wood. At the heart of the composition is the warmth of tonka bean, the depth of cedar and the vivacity of juniper berries.
Did you know...? Orphéon is the name of a night bar located at the intersection of 34 boulevard Saint-Germain and rue de Pontoise. The bar's entrance was next to the DIPTYQUE. A place that was a nerve center for artists and saw the birth and growth of the brand.
A few years after opening the boutique, the Maison purchased Orphéon to expand its space. Today, the only remnant of Orphéon is the blue column at the back of the boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain
For the perfume illustration, Diptyque & Gianpaolo Pagni reworked the original pattern to express not only the eclectic festive atmosphere of Orphéon, where our three founders spent a lot of time, but also the encounters that were in the spirit of the times and the beginning of the whole diptyque adventure...
