Temple des Mousses, Refillable Scented Candle | Diptyque
Diptyque Temple des Mousses Refillable Scented Candle
Temple des Mousses, a candle scented with tree moss, cedar essence and matcha. A scent that fully immerses you in a Japanese zen garden
A journey to Mount Arashiyama in Kyoto, home to a Japanese temple and its zen garden, where 120 species of moss flourish between the light and shade of the forest.
Temple des Mousses captures the experience and beauty of this garden in an olfactory creation with woody accents of green moss, bark and lichen, and velvety notes of matcha that evoke this amazing carpet of greenery. The serenity and silence of the place, so conducive to meditation and contemplation, are captured in this delicately scented candle.
Tree moss, cedar essence and matcha.
Les Mondes de Diptyque, "The Worlds of Diptyque", is a collection of five candles, each one a story composed of the scents of secret and wonderful corners, captivating places where nature and culture come together, to explore and discover as in a dream.
5 candles, 5 worlds, a saga in multiple volumes that will transport you to distant lands.
A candle to feel the beauty of a corner of the world. An object that manages to create an olfactory sanctuary in our home.
With its three overlapping crystal ovals, inspired by the Maison's emblematic shape, each candle is a monolith of colour that holds the soul of the place it embodies.
Its glass lid is decorated with the Maison's emblem, the censer; removing the
lid reveals the Diptyque address engraved on the rim of the candle jar. You can use the lid as a base for the candle.
Each candle tells a story and symbolises the soul of a corner of the world... The flame through the glass makes this object fascinating and mesmerising.
A design created by Cristina Celestino that treasures the scents designed by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, Diptyque's nose for many years, known for creating scents such as Feu de Bois, Philosykos and Figuier.
When the wax level reaches around 5 mm, or the metal base holding the wick becomes visible, it means the candle is finished.
Once the wax has cooled, place the candle in a container with water at 60 °C, up to halfway. Wait 2 minutes for the wax to soften.
Remove the candle from the water and take a round-tipped knife. Slide the blade between the glass and the edges of the soft wax disc, then slide the knife underneath the disc. Lift the loose wax disc and throw it away.
Then wash and dry the inside of the glass.
Open the refill by pulling the tabs and place the new wax block into the candle glass.
The candle is ready to use!
