Turning 50 is an important milestone in anyone's life, so Diptyque also set out to celebrate its anniversary in a big way.
In 2011, the firm launched an exclusive line of products, filled with art, that recreated the ambient scent of the original boutique: the Collection 34. With the help of perfumer Olivier Pescheux, the French House managed to capture the olfactory soul of the store, opened in 1961 at number 34 of the Parisian boulevard Saint-Germain. To recreate in a perfume the aroma of number 34, Diptyque used the headspace technology, capable of capturing the olfactory molecules of a place, an object, or a flower. Olfactory Family Woody.
