A fresh and aromatic perfume that pays homage to mint and reinvents an emblematic accord in the history of perfumery: the fougère (fern).

At the heart of Eau de Minthé, a vibrant fragrance, the aromatic freshness of the mint leaf  enhances the lively floral notes of geranium, while patchouli softens this duo with its great depth.

This perfume from Diptyque  is one of the most awarded fragrances of ABANUC.Won the Prestige Award for the Health Beauty & Wellness Award Hong Kong, the Allure Award, the GQ Grooming Award and the Cosmopolitan the best of the best award in the category Men's Fragrance; all of them in 2019. 

Once again, the Parisian House breaks free from the codes of traditional perfumery to create the Eau de Parfum Eau de Minthé, a fragrance Diptyque inspired by Greek mythology; according to which, perfumes often arise from idylls and metamorphoses.

Precisely, our Eau de Parfum Eau de Minthé is born from an idyll -the one lived by the god Hades and the nymph Minthé- and from a metamorphosis, since Hades transforms Minthé into a fragrant mint leaf. Eau de Minthé pays tribute to the first fougère perfume created in the history of perfumery: 'Fougère Royale', by the House of Houbigant (1882). The scent of the soaps from the 18th-century barbershops is the origin of the fougère accord, a hallmark of English masculine perfumery, which emerged from the barbershops.

Eau de Minthé is a nod to the English origins of Desmond Knox-Leet, one of the three founders of Diptyque. Created by the French Charlotte Gastaut, the illustration of Eau de Minthé depicts the nymph Minthé in an imaginary paradise of trees and leaves, a mix of ferns, mint, and fantastic species. The typography evokes the typical one used in barbershops. Hidden details: on the front of the bottle, we see several mint leaves, and on the back, the nymph Minthé hidden among the species.
