Olivier Pescheux knew how to recreate that atmosphere to perfection: by spraying our skin with 34 boulevard saint germain, we appreciate the spicy, ambarine and woody notes of the furniture and kilim rugs that were sold in the store; as well as the scent of the candles and the signature perfumes.
The blend of these raw materials becomes even more eclectic when we discover the olfactory incidentof Eau de Toilette 34 boulevard saint germain; what Diptyque describes as a surprise, hidden, unexpected ingredient...: black currant buds!
Turning 50 is an important date in anyone's life, so Diptyquealso set out to celebrate its anniversaryin grand style.
In 2011, the firm launched an exclusive lineof products, replete with art, that recreated the ambient scent of the original boutique: the Collection 34.
With the help of perfumer Olivier Pescheux, the French House succeeded in capturing the smellof the store, which opened in 1961 at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain.
To recreate the scent of the number 34 in a perfume, Diptyqueused headspace technology, capable of capturing the olfactory molecules of a place, an object or a flower.
Ambery.
Amber, patchouli accord, rose and cinnamon.
