The secret of this fragrance is behind Dido Merwin, a great friend of the founders of Diptyque.
One spring morning, Merwin went out into the fields to gather wild berries to make jam and some flowers for a bouquet. This is how he discovered the wonderful smell of the mixture of currants and roses.
Unknowingly, he had found the key to the creation of L'Ombre dans l'Eau. Introduced in 1983, L'Ombre dans l'Eauis a avant-garde fragrance: it was one of the first olfactory creations capable of offering a floral-fruity accord in perfumery.
